Kaoru Mitoma: Game Over!

Stand or Fall. Triumph or die. Only one can be declared the best.

MURAL #5 // January ‘25

Inspired by the iconography of Japan’s Street Fighter video game, Kaoru Mitoma: Game Over! is Dogma’s loving tribute to the man with feet of god, beautiful incredible technique, and the deadliest KOs in world football.

A selectable character to thankful Albion managers for more than four years, Kauro is much-loved in Japan but nobody adores him more than the people of Brighton and now we can collectively demonstrate that adoration with a stunning mural in central Brighton.

Painted January ‘25 Kaoru Mitoma: Game Over! was commissioned to and painted by Brighton-based artists Snub23 and Sprite.

It can be found on York Hill, Brighton. What3words: ///bounty.offers.settle.

Head down the steps next to New England House and look to your right (adjacent to There is a God of Football, our mural artwork from 2024).

Despite widely held opinion, the towns and cities of England are not awash with football murals. And of those that exist, very few projects are independently funded and delivered.

Kaoru Mitoma: Game Over! is Dogma’s fourth large-scale mural project covering the walls of Brighton with images of the people we worship. 100% funded by subscription and merch sales, commissioned by Dogma and delivered in partnership with local artists.

This is something we are very proud of at Dogma, and if you are a BHAFC supporter, you should be too.

Kaoru Mitoma Game Over! was painted January 2025. With thanks to Brighton & Hove City Council for facilitating permits and permissions.

New wall donors welcome: please get in touch if you have an interesting wall or space for consideration.
