MURAL #4: KING OF AFCON
King of AFCON, Dogma’s fourth mural project, celebrates one of our breakout stars who is primed for a massive 2024/25; Simon Adingra.
The tournament’s standout player, and man of the match in the final, as Ivory Coast claimed victory in AFCON 2023. This success followed a superb first half-season in a Brighton shirt, in both the Premier and Europa Leagues.
He is one of many extremely exciting young African players at the club: Carlos Baleba, Malick Yalcouyé, Ibrahim Osman, Yankuba Minteh, Abdallah Sima, Tariq Lamptey. This wall celebrates all of Albion’s African contingent, who may well star in future editions of the Cup of Nations – but for the time being there’s only one King of AFCON, and that’s Simon Adingra.
King of AFCON is located on York Hill, adjacent to New England House, and was painted by Brighton-based artist Guy Favela.
